August 22, 1998: Birmingham Astronomical Society came to the CACC Observatory! It was a perfect night, we got to see lots of stuff, wish you were there.

March 17, 1999: The Horseshoe Bend Junior Girl Scouts Star Party.

April 23, 1999: Mars Party (Open to the public).

 

Dec. 18, 1999: We're having a Christmas Star Party!

 

Jan 20, 2000: Moon Eclipse

There will be a near total eclipse of the moon between 9 and 12 PM Thursday night. If the weather cooperates, the CACC Astronomy class will be at the observatory to view this event. The public is invited to join us. A group will be leaving the BS parking lot at the Alex City Campus at 8:00 PM. Dress warmly. For more information about the eclipse, Click Here.

 

Nov. 17, 2000 Leonids Star Party

The CACC Physics Class is hosting a Star Party Friday night from 5:30 PM til whenever everyone leaves. The meteors won't show up until around midnight. However, we will have refreshments, as well as a bathroom, and we're working on a heater. For more detailed information, Click Here.
