The Horseshoe Bend Junior Girl Scouts Star Party

After 3 postponements, we finally got together.

Well, we missed the comet fly-by past the North Star by one night, mercury and jupiter by a week, and the moon by a couple of weeks.

But, it was a perfectly clear night. We had excellent viewing of Venus and Saturn, and, for those of us who stayed late, a good look at Mars . We also were able to see several galaxies and clusters. Top this off with the propane heater compliments of Marion McRimmon, hot drinks and cookies, and everyone had a great time. They've made a tentative date to all come back for the Perseids Star Party next August.
