Memo to Physics Class regarding the Florida trip & Agenda for the remainder of the course.

 

All the following will be turned in electronic form via email to the address that's on the physics web page.

 

1. Turn in Monday: a brief paragraph about what you got most out of the trip.'

 

2. Last week's lab will be considered late if turned in after Friday, and receive 1 point off for each day late thereafter, including weekend days, since you are to turn it in via email, which will not cease after the penalty exceeds the value of the lab.

 

3. Monday, we'll finish up the problems in chapter 30 & 29, and watch a video on chapter 32, AC voltage. This material will not be on test 3, but will be on the final.

 

4. You must pick a partner, select a lab from the electronic kits we got from Radio Shack, do the lab and give a report on it to the class no later than one week from Friday, April 21.

 

5. The carburetor project. We need the following:

 

a. The heater

b. The low pressure box

c. The carburetor body

d. The needle valve

e. An electronic circuit board that will sense and adjust temperature, pressure, and flow rate, and automatically evacuate the low pressure box when the engine is turned off, whether accidentally or on purpose.

 

Below are tasks that need to be addressed. Pick two, put your name by it and it's yours. Last one to sign up has less to choose from--okay, maybe bby now you could have firgured that out--it is the end of our sectond term..

 

1. Write a thank you letter to the engineers

2. Write a thank you letter to the Naval people.

3. Write a brief article for the Outlook

4. Make up a photo documentary describing the trip, that includes commentary about each picture.
